2027 Volkswagen ID. Buzz: The Camper Van Returns

The 2027 Volkswagen ID. Buzz is the return of this model line after a hiatus in 2026. The wait will be worth it for people looking for an EV, as its new trim structure, revised color and wheel options, and hard buttons on the steering wheel, are just some of the great features of this year’s model. The all-electric microbus now comes in four configurations.

2027 Volkswagen ID. Buzz trims:

  • Pro S RWD
  • Pro S 4Motion (new)
  • Tourer 4Motion (new)
  • Pro S Plus 4Motion

The 2027 ID. Buzz Tourer 4Motion is built on the European “Good Night Package”. Built for overnight adventures, it features a fold-out mattress with platform, window blinds, front window ventilation panels, and an exterior table with chairs.

Other 2027 Volkswagen ID. Buzz Tourer 4Motion features include:

  • Retractable tow hitch
  • Captain's Chairs
  • Electrochromic smart roof
  • Area View
  • 20-inch dark graphite wheels

All 2027 Volkswagen ID. Buzz models run the latest Android-based ID.6 software. A home navigation screen with quicker inputs and improved vehicle settings access are key updates. This year’s model also gains a North American Charging System (NACS) adapter and one-pedal driving functionality. It debuts a new two-tone Candy White over Cherry Red color scheme with white wheels. This two-tone design choice serves as a direct nod to the iconic Type 2 Microbus.
