Volkswagen Golf SportWagen: The Station Wagon With A Kick

Retro is in again! If you’re looking for a station wagon with the versatility of a small SUV and the handling of a sedan, check out the Volkswagen Golf SportWagen. It has a sporty feel and plenty of room – all with a budget-friendly price.

Golf SportWagen stands out among compact cars with its sporty yet comfortable handling. The 1.4 Liter turbocharged engine delivers a fun driving experience with 147 horsepower delivered through the remarkably smooth 8-speed automatic transmission. The automatic transmission offers great acceleration, but if you’re looking for more fun, shift manually in Tiptronic mode with paddle shifters. You can also drop it into Sport mode to crank up the fun. And if banging the gears manually is your thing, the Golf SportWagen is available with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Golf SportWagen also offers 4MOTION® all-wheel-drive system, which is perfect for wet or slick roads. The 4MOTION® all-wheel-drive system transfers engine power to the front and rear wheels, depending on where it is needed. In normal driving, power goes to the front wheels, but 4MOTION® also sends supplemental power to the rear when it senses that the front wheels are slipping – which means you can drive with a little more confidence in all types of weather.

The Golf SportWagen is the perfect choice for driving around in the city or on road trips where you need extra room to store your gear.

For The Outdoorsy Person: The Golf Alltrack

If you’re the outdoorsy type looking for something a little more rugged, check out the Golf Alltrack. With more ground clearance and the full complement of Volkswagen roof rail accessories, Golf Alltrack is ready for your weekend adventures in the outdoors.

From its robust bumpers to the highest ground clearance, the Golf Alltrack is far more than just a wagon. Designed for easy maneuvering on a variety of roads – or lack of roads – the Golf Alltrack can go above and beyond, so you can go out and about. The tough yet refined exterior with cladding shows that Alltrack is ready for inclement weather, rough roads, and all sorts of adventures ahead.

Available 4MOTION® all-wheel-drive provides reliable traction and optimum stability even on rough terrain. This all-wheel-drive system automatically adapts to road conditions to optimize power delivery so all you have to do is focus on the adventure ahead.

Hill Descent Control helps you go up steep grades with minimal slipping and sliding. In Off-Road Mode, Hill Descent Control will control the application of your brakes while you’re going downhill, keeping you at a controlled speed. And the specialized traction control configuration, Off-Road Mode, is designed to help you navigate a variety of different roads and conditions. With the 168-horsepower turbocharged 1.8L TSI® engine, Golf Alltrack is powerful, fun, and ready to go.

The available Off-Road Monitor in the Golf Alltrack is designed to share your adventures with you. The customizable, 3-gauge digital monitor lets you keep an eye on your off-road functions, which helps keep you out of trouble. With programmable features like altitude, compass, and steering wheel angle, the Off-Road Monitor lets you know where you stand at a glance.

The Golf SportWagen and Alltrack aren’t just sporty, they offer the cargo space of an SUV with the handling of a small sedan. With a 60/40-split folding rear seat with release levers in the cargo area, your cargo area can instantly expand to 66.5 cu. ft. so you can pack more and adventure longer.

Lots of Cargo Space

With available Climatronic® dual-zone automatic climate control, you and your passengers can determine your own comfort zones. The panoramic sunroof both tilts and slides open to let the sunshine in and lets in all the fresh air you can breathe. If your adventure involves nighttime driving, your passengers will be able to stargaze.

Featuring All The Technology You Need And Love

Whether you’re conquering city streets or traversing rocky roads, the Golf SportWagen and Golf Alltrack keeps you in touch with the tech you love. Both come with entertainment front and center. Use Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ seamlessly, and with App-Connect, simply plug in your smartphone and watch as the apps line up on the 8” touch screen display. With voice control and proximity sensor, the full-color touchscreen lets you access your tunes and apps quickly.

And VW Car-Net® Security and Service offers functions beyond your car. Whether you forgot where you parked or locked the keys in the car, VW Car-Net Security and Service can tell you. It will also alert you if you left the sunroof open and rain is in the forecast, and it will automatically call for help when an accident has been detected.

Built With Safety In Mind

Technology is at its best when it makes life better for you and keeps your loved ones safe. Which is why the Golf SportWagen and Golf Alltrack have an array of driver assistance and safety systems. Volkswagen has made key features, including adaptive cruise control, front collision avoidance with automatic braking, blind spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert available on all models. The wagons also have standard post-collision braking system designed to help prevent a second collision after an initial crash. The Automatic Post-Collision Braking System will automatically apply the brakes to slow the vehicle down after a collision, helping reduce the chance of another impact.

If Front Assist senses that a collision is imminent, Autonomous Emergency Braking (included in Front Assist) can increase brake pressure or, under certain circumstances, it can apply the brakes automatically. The Pedestrian Monitoring feature (included in Front Assist) can warn you when pedestrians cross in front of your vehicle. In some circumstances, it can brake automatically to help prevent hitting the pedestrian if you don’t respond to the warning.

And Golf SportWagon and Golf Alltrack have seven stability-enhancing systems, to help you drive more confidently. From Electronic Brake-pressure Distribution (EBD) to help maintain appropriate stopping power during hard-brakes, to Electronic Stability Control (ESC), which adjusts engine throttle and applies corrective force to the wheels that need them most, your vehicle is equipped with systems designed to keep you in control.

Also, both the Golf SportWagen and Golf Alltrack come standard with the Volkswagen People First Warranty. This warranty covers every Volkswagen for six years or 72,000 miles – and the People First Warranty is even transferable to a new owner.
