Supporting Local Women In Business

We love supporting community groups and associations in the Louisville, KY, area. One of our favorite groups is the National Association of Women Business Owners, Kentucky Chapter. Why? Because we love women business owners and entrepreneurs — and we think there should be more of them.

The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) supports and helps women business owners and entrepreneurs take their business to the next level. If you’re a woman and own a business, then this group is perfect for you! Full of supportive members that will encourage and teach you, you will find resources that will help you build and grow your business.

NAWBO is a non-profit organization that supports, provides resources, aids opportunities and helps build partnerships with women-owned businesses in our community. NAWBO is a world-wide organization, but NAWBO Kentucky specifically serves women business owners in Kentucky and the Southern Indiana area.

NAWBO started in 1975 and since then the organization has helped women evolve their businesses by sharing resources and providing a voice to help shape economic and public policy. NAWBO is the only dues-based national organization representing the interests of all women entrepreneurs across all industries.

The NAWBO Kentucky chapter was started in 1992 and the members are based in Kentucky and the Southern Indiana area. The group of women is made up of a wide range of business types such as accounting firms, advertising firms, financial services, retail stores, caterers, printing companies, contractors, manufacturers, and others. NAWBO Kentucky has everything from small, home-based businesses to multi-million-dollar companies as members.

Providing business resources, seminars and networking events for women-owned businesses are some of NAWBO’s strengths and benefits.
